Meet the Chef Ryan Laudenschlager

Chef Ryan Laudenschlager brings a fresh, locally sourced, and scratch-made approach to campus dining as Midway University’s Campus Executive Chef. A graduate of Sullivan University’s culinary program, he has honed his skills at Portofino restaurant, the Rose Hill Inn, and as the culinary lead at The Lexington School, where he transformed dining by eliminating processed foods and prioritizing nutrition.

A Kentucky Proud Incredible Food Show champion, Chef Ryan is passionate about food education, sustainability, and creating flavorful, balanced meals. At Midway, he is committed to elevating the campus dining experience with high-quality ingredients and innovative menus that nourish and inspire.
